Common printer problems in villas
The situations ASG sees most often when serving villas.
- A boarding pass needed in the morningReception only has a phone, and the home printer in the back has dried ink.
- Check-in with one staff member on dutyPassport scans, the rental agreement, and walking the guest to the room, all at once.
- The owner lives abroadEvery repair or toner purchase needs approval over chat, and that can take days.
- Unstable powerUnstable voltage is one of the most common causes of printer damage ASG sees in Bali.
- Hunting for parts in DenpasarFrom Ubud or Karangasem, finding toner or spare parts can take a whole day.
The old way vs. with ASG
| Problem | The old way | With ASG |
|---|---|---|
| Printer breaks | Staff take it to a repair shop, no printer for days | Guided on WhatsApp first; if not fixed, a technician comes to the villa |
| Toner or ink runs out | Buy it yourself, sometimes the wrong type | Included in the rental, delivered to the villa |
| Surprise costs | The owner approves every repair | One monthly bill, no separate repair bills |
| Unstable power | The machine breaks and nobody notices until it's needed | Technician checks the outlet at installation. We supply a stabilizer if needed. |

Villa printer
rental FAQ
All FAQs Does a small villa need to rent a printer?
Yes, if the villa wants a printer that is always ready without anyone on staff to look after it.
ASG has machines with a 500 to 1,000 page monthly quota for small villas.
If you regularly print rental agreements and bills and scan guest passports, renting a compact multifunction such as the Kyocera MA4000wifx makes more sense: toner and service are included, and if something goes wrong, your staff are guided on WhatsApp before a technician comes out.
Can I rent just one unit for one villa?
Yes, ASG rents printers to villas from 1 unit per villa.
The owner lives overseas. Can we sign and pay remotely?
Yes, ASG rental contracts can be signed electronically and paid by bank transfer.
The power at our villa is unstable. What should we prepare?
ASG’s technician checks the outlet and voltage at installation. If the voltage drops often, we install a 1,100 or 2,200 VA stabilizer to suit the machine. You don't need to buy one, and a UPS isn't needed.
My villa is in Canggu or Ubud. Do you cover it?
Yes, ASG technicians drive out from Denpasar to Canggu, Ubud, Uluwatu, Seminyak, and the rest of Bali, except Nusa Penida. Singaraja is covered without the 3-hour guarantee.
Do ASG’s staff and technicians speak English?
Yes. ASG’s team replies to WhatsApp chats and emails in English. Not every staff member takes phone calls in English yet, so WhatsApp is the easiest way to reach us.
Can I rent from ASG as an individual villa owner, without a PT?
Yes. Individual villa owners, including foreigners, can rent from ASG without a PT. You pay by bank transfer, or in cash for amounts under Rp 5 million.
Can guests print from their own phones?
Yes, the Kyocera MA4000wifx that ASG rents to villas supports Wi-Fi Direct, AirPrint, and Mopria, so guests can print a boarding pass from an iPhone or Android phone without joining the villa network.
